BLOOD SEA (a Dance-Music Improvisation workshop)
Blood Sea is a workshop on the intersection between dance and music from the perspective of sensoriality. We propose the metaphors blood and sea as ignitions to circulate movement sensation and imagination in an improvisation set. These metaphors should facilitate an experience of directing attention to the modulation of tonus in a continuous flow. Tonus of the body and of the sound. Tonus of mental landscapes and of the surrounding. Tonus as a matter that is able to stimulate new perceptions about sensorimotor patterns, repertoires, performativities. Ultimately, it is an invitation to a tactile experimentation of dance and music acknowledging a world that bleeds what the bodies move.
