In the Moment
by Samantha van Wissen
About the workshop:
In this workshop I would like to share with you and experience some of the ideas, techniques, exercises and principles that have been developed in ZOO/Thomas Hauert over the past 25 years. Through assignments and practicing we will build a common understanding that allows us to improvise freely and always be connected to the other through movement and also in space. In this workshop we will work individually and in small groups, both in contact and at a distance. Our body, mind and reflexes will be challenged to step outside our comfort zone. These challenges will expand the palette of movement vocabulary and create a state in which the dancer (body and mind) are free to constantly change. This practice will create alertness and freedom while improvising/dancing, and invites you to always move/dance in the present moment.
