About the workshop:
The goal of the Do Yourself a Favor solo workshop is to explore how to construct performative structures with original self-created material.
“I’m proposing to the participants different ways on developing a solo work. Each individual will explore diverse ways on writing own dramaturgy, dealing with space, objects, contexts , making choices. The aim of the workshop is that everyone at the end of it has a coherent solo performance that expresses at best his/her own artistic individuality.”

Biography:
Ivo Dimchev is a choreographer, visual artist, singer and songwriter whose work is an extreme and colorful mixture of performance art, dance, theatre, music, drawings and photography. Dimchev is author of more than 30 performances. He has received numerous international awards for dance and theater and has presented his work all over Europe, Asia, South and North America. Besides his artistic work he given master classes in several education programs and festivals of dance and performance arts. He is author of the books “Stage works 2002-2016” (2016), presenting images and dramaturgical texts from more than 30 stage works and “Lyrics and Pederatuses” (2017) with 150 poems and short stories. Ivo Dimchev has released several music albums with his own music. Since 2017 he has been touring the world with his music and concerts.
Ivo has performed twice in Tictac’s history and this will be the first workshop he will share in the centre. It will be followed up with a two week residence at the gallery.
