OWN YOUR SHIFT // Dance & Feldenkrais
by Sandra Ortega
About the workshop:
“If you know what you are doing, you can do it differently. If you know what you are doing, you can do whatever you want” – Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984)”
OWN YOUR SHIFT seeks to bring you closer to your real potential and performance in all areas of activity, of everyday life, athletic or artistic routines.
These movement sessions are influenced by the work of awareness and self-observing of the Feldenkrais MethodÒ, a neuromotor learning system that synthesizes principles of anatomy, neurology, biology, physics, martial arts and learning theories and applies them to the human experience, to restore normal functioning, ease movement, reduce the feeling of effort, pain or risk of injury and to develop the potential of each individual.
Thanks to the innate ability of the human being to adapt, reorganize and relearn, you will become more aware of your self-image, expanding your range of possibilities, regaining freedom of choice and allowing you free access to your ability as a creative artist and your curiosity as a human being. It will be a guide to continue your learning process as a creative, autonomous and analytical artist with your action.
With OWN YOUR SHIFT, Sandra Ortega pursues the transmission of strategies and creative tools for the understanding of movement. This knowledge, internalized and developed through practice, comes from the experience and training throughout her life as a professional.
OWN YOUR SHIFT can be beneficial for anyone, regardless of their age and physical condition.
