THE SONG OF THE BODY

Magnetize, energize and pacify
I offer a sensitive and dynamic awakening of the body guided and inspired by sensory and/or traditional practices, so that connections are established between the different energy centers of the body, and by favoring the coordination of movement and breathing so that the voice takes shape.
Visual and soundscapes.
The body “in movement and in voice” will be the area of exploration in this laboratory. Discover another dimension as a dancer and as a group: experiencing polyphony and polyrhythm, both visual and sonic.
Eclectic and mixed artist, insatiable explorer of movement and sound, teacher, performer and/or choreographer, singer and musician, improviser, Fatou Traoré has been creating pieces oscillating between writing and improvisation for around thirty years. Live music is at the heart of her work, and the essential driving force of his creative impulse.
After twelve years of trying to create rituals, bridges between voice and movement and exploring the relationship between polyphonic singing and dance, with the women’s choir of Patshiva cie, this laboratory is the opportunity to experiment the notion of soundscape with dancers…

The search for the unknown, the potential represented by human differences and the mixing of genres, nourish the chaos necessary for her fertile creativity. fertility…

For the past 12 years, she has joined Patshiva cie, a choir of some thirty women, united around polyphonic songs from around the world.
