Flowing Connection

We will start by awakening the body with breathing exercises working from the joints towards the movement, with a scale of 0 to 10, to be able to flow and unify the breath with the movement in a natural way.
We will continue investigating and looking for different ways of using the floor, working on different qualities of movement, dynamics, space … to know the limits of the body and to be able to express actions reaching different states.
In a second part, we will work mainly on contact and improvisation with a defined concept to be able to investigate and develop other interpretive facets such as voice, theatricality, body sounds and different states.

All this process will serve to create a space of sensations, with connection as the central main objective of the work.

Fabian Thomé’s biography:

Fabian was born in France in 1981. He graduated from the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza in Madrid in 2004 as a flamenco dancer. He began his career with prominent dance companies in the country and collaborated with Joaquín Cortés. In 2013, he decided to expand his skills, particularly in contemporary dance, by working with various choreographers, including Sharon Fridman and Carlos Fernández Fuentes. He also worked with Franco Dragone in Macao, the Director of Cirque du Soleil.

Fabian Thomé is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. His choreographic work has received recognition, including the 1st Prize for Choreography for “DUET MOI-JE” at the XXXIII edition of CERTAMEN COREOGRAPHY DE MADRID 2019. He received a Special Mention Prize in the Certamen Choreography Masdanza Spain (Canarias Island) in 2020 and the 2nd Prize in the Concours Coreographique in Sens, France in 2022. He was also awarded the Prize for Best Interpretation for a solo performance at the Burgos-New York International Choreography Contest in 2014. Fabian’s work has been featured in various schools, festivals and dance centers: Festival Masdanza (Canarias Island), tour in Spain and Europe, Festival Urban Italia, Nod Torino France, CND Lyon, Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Germany, Chipre (Pera) Austria (Salzburg Sead), Greece, Kalamata, Chania, Belgium, Beirut, Tel Aviv, etc…

From June 2015 to 2020, he worked as a dancer and teacher for Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s company, Eastman Production in Belgium.

In 2014, driven by the desire to establish his own unique style, Fabián founded his own company, Full Time Dance Company. He has created several productions for his company and others. Since 2015, he has shared his passion for dance and teaching at different dance centers and has choreographed for various companies throughout Europe.
