Workshop description:
“We are a dance collective, practicing together dance improvisation since 2020. This week, we will be continuing the same practice, but with a bigger group. We will focus on raw material and brut impulses, using body and voice to go to unexpected places, in depth and with playfulness. Whatever background you have, bring it, it will be useful.
All days all the members of Brut Movement collective will be present and leading the events, while some afternoons they will be joined by guest teachers to practice together new skills around theatre improvisation and vocal improvisation.
Brut Movement is Irene Occhiato, Paola di Bella, Florian Vuille and Luigi Bisogno and Arnaud Beelen.
Thursday till Saturday evening programs .
Brut Movement’s biography:
Brut Movement is a dance collective dedicated to improvisation on stage. Its components are eclectic artists who have experience in different art forms: music composition, urban dance, singing, circus and theatre. The peculiarity of the group is their desire of exploiting those talents at their maximum to craft performances that are raw, undisciplined and physical.
The group has found its creative nest and artistic support in Tictac Art Centre.

IN THE BIG STUDIO
Monday till Fridays
Workshop by Brut Movement
10:00-13:00 – 14:30-17:30
The first part of the morning will be focused on warming up our bodies and the space, creating an environment where improvisational skills can freely be expressed and explored in all senses and to be engaged and available. In the second part of the morning Brut will guide the group through some of their favorite exercises they use in their creative process to experience performance from different perspectives.
In the afternoons on Monday and Tuesday Noémi Knecht will guide the workshop through theater exercises to explore improvisation, enhancing our creative potential through fun and collaborative exercises. On Wednesday Tommaso Zuffa will facilitate an afternoon on voice exploration through vocal games, canons, improvisations and circle songs. Brut Movement will lead the workshop on Thursday and Friday, bringing togetehr all the actions that have taken place throughout the week.
For this week Brut Movement also has organised two other workshops in the Small Studio 10:00 – 13:00 the Drawing Dance Workshop by Peter Jacquemyn will not happen this week, but postponed in another format later.
14:30 – 17:30 Voice Bootcamp with Tommaso Zuffa. This workshop is a standalone experience with its own pricing. On Wednesday afternoon participants of the Voice Bootcamp will join the Brut Movement workshop in the big studio, where Tommaso will co-lead the session alongside the Brut team.

Tictac has invited Brut Movement for 10 performances of Opéra Punk this coming month:
June 5, 17, 18 , 19, 24, 25, 26 and July 3, 4, 5.
You are welcome to spread word. Performances start either at 19:00 or 20:00, and the final show on a Saturday is at 15:00. Stay tuned for the exact schedule!
