Precious Blood

“In general and conceptually my work deals with topics related to the fragility of the body, healing rituals, the irrevocable passage of time, memory, the definitive nature of death, grief, and sexuality.”
C. Braga

Precious Blood is an exhibition by the artist Célio Braga in the gallery of Tictac Art Centre.
The selection consists of works made by the artist in Brussels during a 2-week residency at Tictac Art Centre, together with a selection of works made in São Paulo and in Amsterdam in the first months of 2020. The most recent works depict black knives and red blood tears. Together those works make the theme of violence, suffering, and religious drama central and urgent.
