Dynamic Expansion/Moveable Cinema
Dynamic Expansion™ created by Shannon Cooney, is an embodiment approach to movement and dance inviting active sensing and connection to the Fluid Body. Tuning into the Craniosacral system’s subtle fluid dynamics and its stillness phenomena grounds the practice.
This movement and performance enhancement flows between deeper inner listening to the fluid dynamics in the body and allowing them to move the physical body. There are guided movement meditations and improvisational scores inspired from water dynamics in Nature giving one space for movement discovery, freedom through mobility and connectivity. These explorations are autonomous, in partnerships and group scored practices and are integrated via Moveable Cinema: a visual sensing practice which expands and enhances one’s connection to the visual field while dancing. For the Tictac workshop, there will be the luxury of time to practice stillpointing, a self-regulation technique originating from Craniosacral practices.
