Theater Improv for dancers
Improv is like living, but on a stage.
It can seem very challenging to go on a stage and create a whole story, with characters, relations, stakes and goals, scenaries, etc. But if you set your focus on some basic reflexes, work on your listening, on your spontaneity, on your trust in yourself and in your partners, if you manage to stop judging your ideas and follow the flow, you will quikly be able to put stories on stage, without even trying to.
In this workshop, we will work on these basics skills in improv. Through the week, we will see how to create characters, meaningful relations, find the focus of every scene, explore different types of narration, work on group dynamics, two persons scenes and solos. We will see how you can create not only disconnected scenes, but also how you can build a 45 minutes show. And because we are working with dancers, we sill see how we can mix theater and dance language to create richer scenes.
