THE
SPACE
Tictac is made up of different areas equipped for all types of needs along different floors including a big dance studio of 300m2, a small studio of about 80 m2, a dressing room with 6 showers and 6 toilets, an atelier, an office space, a canteen, a courtyard to be outside for fresh air, a gallery at the streetside, and a guest-apartment for invited artists.
The ground floor is used for dance. The big studio is an open space without columns of 300 m2 with a spring dance floor and acoustic panels on the walls. It also has daylight windows in the ceiling, and a safe ventilation system. It is directly connected with the dressing room, showers and toilets.
The small dance studio is used for special workshops that need less space or work with less participants. It is also used for rent for personal practice and rehearsals.
Just after the entrance there is a cantine where the workshop participants and invited artists can order food and drinks and share the lunch time to get to know each other. The cantine offers healthy homemade lunch and other options. It also offers Illy-coffee, a selection of teas, beers, wine and homemade finger food during the performance evenings.
On the first floor there is the private atelier of David Zambrano and Mat Voorter, where they continue to develop their visual arts, costume and clothes designs.
Next to that, it is another room, which contains the office area where the administration and publication-work take place.
The other half of that floor is turned into a green-room which connects with a cozy balcony area that overlooks the dance studio and carries some beds and a hammock. Participants are welcome to rest, work online, or just chill out in these areas during the day.

An alternative space for everyone !
Keeping the necessities of dancers in mind, in the basement we will make available two massage rooms for massages, like Thai or Shiatsu.
The Art Centre also has a large courtyard to enjoy the sunniest days. This outside area is also connected with the Gallery of TicTac, a place for exhibitions and for the purchase and sale of the work done by artists in residence. It is a smaller multi functional space with at the other side a big window and door to access and expose to the street.
